Twins’ Slave: The Storm Planet Series, Volume One
Five Star Must Read Review
I love Sci-Fi romance so I was intrigued by the blurb for Twins' Slave. This one doesn't disappoint in either the science fiction category or the erotic romance one. I will say that there are some D/s undertones and it took me more than half the book before I cared much for either twin. It was Lorelei who won my heart.
She is one of the most impressive female leads that I've come across. The science fiction is solid and the concept of Twinned Dessnue is creative and fascinating. The story is very sensual and erotic. There were times that I could have slapped either Bleak or Leant for being such jerks but the twins grew on me as I got to know them and they got to know and love Lorelei.
I enjoyed learning about the alien culture and the behind the scenes power struggle is suspenseful. This is a really fantastic read and I highly recommend it. I do hope there is more to come in this intriguing world created by Ms. Garnet.

Prologue
The Threads of Targent, a source of great power, found in its natural state on only one planet, GigasVnee. They are artificially produced, but don’t have the same pure capacity. They cost way too much in effort, plus time to manufacturer.
On a satellite, far away from GigasVnee, there was an unofficial secretive meeting being held. At least as secret as could be with so many servants and Second in Commands, all the bodyguards that were along with the special politicians that attended. Sometimes when you wanted a change, you had to take a risk. This wasn’t the first time this group had met to hold a discussion about the planet GigasVnee.
The fifteen men and women in the impressive room had not aged since the last meeting. Either due to their genes or med bots, this was a time of youthful looks. There were so many medical treatments available to preserve looks in this day and in this side of the universe, but still worry could show on a body.
Those present looked at the three males dressed in black that entered. These three didn’t look like they belonged in this room. The room was all gold with jewels along the drapes among the hangings of multi colors. The group that was sitting was also dressed in expensive jewel bedecked clothing. Each one seemed to be trying to outshine the other. There were crowns, there were ribbons marking distinctions about the governments from various worlds. Yet, most of those governments and worlds wouldn’t have approved of this meeting, at least not openly.
The newest entrants wore no jewels, no colors, just weapons on leather belts. The first of the new entrants sat down at the table, looking at the faces around him. There was a mixture of races, because this group represented many places, many unhappy governments. But the goal was the same for all of them.
He spoke in a voice to be heard around the table. “You have asked us to join you in what you call a joint operation to try to take over, illegally, the Government of GigasVnee. Why would we be interested in joining a bunch of losers like you overdressed tasteless morons?”
The two others walked up behind him. There were no smiles, but they had put their hands on their weapons without drawing them.
There were gasps of shock from around the table. Then someone was clapping, the sharp slap of two hands coming together brought the eyes of everyone to a large, dark skinned man sitting to one side.
“Excellent entrance, Prime Assassin Misrot. It seems you made the same entrance and said the same words, when we invited you to attend a similar meeting a long time ago. Some of us show our age. Some of those at that long ago meeting have passed on, but the years have been generous to you.
I think that the same reason that drew you to the first meeting has drawn you to this one. It is the richness of that storm planet and whoever controls the natural Threads of Targent. The natural Threads are better than any manufactured Threads that scientist have tried to make. We all know you are interested or you wouldn’t be here. Now, the discussion is open on what is the first step to taking over that little planet.”
Misrot looked at the large man who was bold enough to speak to him. “Well, you are the brave one at this table, but that planet has produced, after a thousand years, another set of Twinned Dissnue. Their Council was smart enough to put them in charge. Who wants to face them? Even more, they have taken a female. A so called slave that everyone knows as the Queen of that planet.”
Another at the table, made brave by knowledge, spoke. “Misrot, I am surprised that the head of the Assassins is still not up to date on what is going on within the city caves of that planet and why we must act now. That so called slave is expecting a child. Want to start over again or do you want to help with the plans?”
Another spoke. “Before that child is born to that planet and to the two twins, there is still a chance we might influence the council to allow outsiders to sit on the Export Board in that part of the systems.”
Misrot chuckled in an evil way as he spoke. “Yes, hope two thirds of the Board dies. I don’t think you have a chance.” Misrot decided not to mention he was receiving high funds to have his number one man protect that Queen/Slave. Too many years had trained him not to show any emotions as he looked at these hopeless hopefuls.
He stood. “At this time I will not go against the richest government in the system. Good luck.” He nodded at his guards and left, knowing the conversation would go nowhere with his retreat. Some of them would contact him for personal services. He would accept some requests and refuse offers. It was the type of business he was involved in, filling requests.
Assassins had been around as long as there had been civilizations on planets. There had always be
en a need for honest killers.
Chapter One
After the War….
The unusual male stood on the edge of a cliff in a storm of an unusual planet. Tomorrow would be his birthday of twenty-five ages and he must accept his position in the government. Some said he would be the government. He had already been acting as the government due to the war inflicted on this world.
His name was Quilliam Devi GemC’him of GigasVnee, the son of the slave Loralei of Earth and the Twinned Dissnue Bleak and Leant GemC’him. His mother had named him Quilliam, saying it was an old word from her world. Earth was a forbidden trade world that one of his father’s had been forced to visit in an emergency. When his father left, his father took Loralei with him.
Loralei told her son that the name came from an old language called Gaelic and meant strong. He guessed that everyone expected him to be strong with the Twinned Dissnue as his fathers. He was strong because what had happened at his birth and for the time that followed.
Quilliam or Quill as some called him, looked down into the dark ocean and stood against the winds to remember what had happened since his birth, what had really made him strong.

Prepare for the War…
Leant and Bleak had returned to support the one they both loved so completely. They felt the need to be near her when it was time for the delivery of her child. They had changed when Loralei had joined them into something this part of the universe had not known.
The joining and the creation of their fearless powers came at the right time. There were so many threatening groups coming together, fighting the fact that one government controlled the powers that were used for the long jumps in the space ships that took individuals between solar systems.
Greed was pushing many to insist that the strange power emitting Threads that developed among the fissures in the rock of the unusual world of GigasVnee, be shared under a joint committee.
Throughout the known universe there were so many worlds with life. On some of them there were rare elements that turned up only on that one planet. Sometimes it was a plant, sometimes it was a gemstone and sometimes it was something found in an element.
But in the long uncounted times that individuals had learned to travel between planets and then solar systems, nothing as amazing as the Threads of Targent, had ever been found. These tiny threads of power that could push spaceships bearing living individuals through the voids from one life bearing world to the next, were only found on one world, GigasVnee.
The twins, having joined due to the catalyst that the slave Loralei bought to them through love, tied the three together. It made the two men a strange mental weapon. Their ability was the power that drove off the threat and allowed them time to leave, to discover what they really had become.
They had taken precautions to protect their Slave/Queen and she protected the child within her body. She had the great General Baloko Sachim to lead a strong dedicated army.
There was their old advisor Dee Con DeArmond to support her decisions and to give her an area of knowledge that was deep.
Finally, to the surprise of too many, for personal protection, with their riches, they hired a killer to protect her from killers. They went to the Assassins League. Because of the position and the funds provided, Misrot, the leader of the Assassins League assigned his number one male terminator to protect the Slave/Queen.
With funds that were unlimited, the twins had a medical center built for the delivery of their son. The best trained medical professionals were brought in with no problems. Who would not want to be present to deliver this particular child? Plus the price was always right.
Of course all this construction and new people caused extreme headaches for the Advisor, the General and the Protector.
On top of this activity, there were two major significant items that was affecting this storm tossed planet. There was the possibility of ending and beginning.
First was the fact that war was coming. Behind the scenes, a few of the desperate and greedy, military heavy governments were joining together and thinking that the distraction of this birth might be a good time for an unusual attack. With everyone’s attention on the birth, that distraction would leave an opening.
The second was that the baby might inherit some of his fathers’ uncommon talents. Whatever Loralei saw, the boy within saw and absorbed and remembered. Some thought this might be a blessing and others saw this as an additional threat.
Loralei knew when the babe within her became aware, but she kept the knowledge secret, talking to him when they were alone. Well, maybe the Assassin knew, as Loralei never could understand where he was and what he was observing.

After the War…
Quill stood on the cliff, watching the dark waves topped by white as the wind whipped water from the tips. Behind him were burnt or stripped trees, damaged by the war.
He thought back to that time when he was aware, but helpless, comforted within the body of Loralei. She was a great mother, accepting the fact that he was different from the babies she knew from her far away homeland. She never compared and never regretted. She only loved.
His mother would sing songs to him as she rubbed oils on her swollen belly. Never once did he ever have a feeling from her of a sadness for the inconvenience of child bearing. Pride and love with an Earth name, before he was ready to face the world.
He knew when his fathers were near, even if it was not often. First it was because of the love his mother broadcast to them and received in return. He lived in joy, as all three of his parents enjoyed their bodies. He knew that sometime in the future he would have the same pleasure from a female when his body was ready.
But there was more from his fathers. When they were near, when they placed their hands over her womb, they passed to him knowledge and power. There were weapons that they had created from the Threads that they gave him the ability to control. Unfortunately his fathers forgot that in a solar system war he was only one. To make it worse, there was another he wanted that did not want him.
His birth wasn’t what was the painless, joyful event planned by so many for his mother. There had been decorations in every cave all over the planet.
For anyone who had not understood or studied the history of the storm planet GigasVnee, the caves would be a mystery. For Quill the caves were home, yet the cliff tops were life.
Quill knew that intelligent life had developed on many planets for strange reasons that even the brilliant scientists of today could not exactly explain.
Through his mother he knew that life on her planet had crawled from the oceans. They grew and survived in jungles to spread slowly and develop on a planet with land that had many climates and large water covered areas.
The planet that the Assassin League called home had developed intelligent life in the seas first and then the natives always had an affinity for the water. It had developed technologies that were used universally under waterways. The Assassin who protected his mother fascinated Quill. As a child Quill had been able to approach the shadow and the shadow had taught him death fighting. It was an ugly way of fighting with bare hands.
Looking down at the dark waters of this storm planet, Quill thought of life growing on this harsh world. Life crawling out of the rich turbulent oceans to find shelter within caves and deep cracks within the lifted, hard rocks that pushed upward. The need from the storms on a planet influenced by two moons, one far enough away to look like a star, but still able to affect tides and weather. Another larger moon so close that it circled the planet so often that it was difficult to chart a calendar with its movements. Its circle could confuse new arrivals as they thought they were seeing both moons instead of one moving again and again.
So the storms prevailed and life refused to give up. The caves and cracks were security and there were plants that adapted to the plateaus just like strange plants and life adapted elsewhere. There was a bit of superiority that was thrown about from those that came
from this harsh world. If you were strong enough to live on GigasVnee, you were stronger than others.
For eons and untold times, this small planet survived with its people growing and learning and developing within large caves. They farmed in the sea and found plants on the surface that could survive the storms and harsh winds.
When off-worlders landed, they bought additional items and traded for the great educations that they had developed. The off-worlders were interested in the Threads that the people of this small planet pulled from the rocks and used for power. Each Thread had endless power, as it was attached with the special connectors that the scientists of GigasVnee had developed. Over the centuries the connectors had been improved, but the Threads were still the best power source for the planet. They never had to depend on power from natural resources that produced dangerous waste material and was limited.
Here Quill stood on the edge of this cliff, with terrible destruction behind him and still he was the head of the richest regime in the system. He had won a war that left several political enemies decimated. He felt the anger from the loss within his own people.
He had lived through the actual death and loss of the soul of each of his people, both those born on this world and those committed to his cause. He was learning to put memories into slots and file them away. He had so much to think and plan and listen to around him, he needed to only look at those files of pain when they would not cripple him.
At last he saw below him in the water what he was waiting for, the dark forms of the large animals that hid below the waves. He felt a relief deep in his chest to find that they had endured all the explosions and disturbances that drifted into the seas. Great space war ships had been blown down to damage the waters and leak terrible poisons that were impossible to contain.
