An Assassin for the Slave Read online

Eventually, she was aware that they had broken free of the forest. Baloko had slowed down as she saw the flowers and grass. At last he lowered her to her feet, but held onto that wrist. They were in front of a lift as the doors were just opening. Two armed guards were inside, waiting.

Joo looked up at him. "Sure, freedom. Doesn't look like it to me."

Baloko immediately waved a hand over a plate stopping the lift and opening the doors. He looked at the two guards. "You two leave now, take another way down." He waited until they left, then resumed the trip down.

  Chapter Eight

For the first time in two Federated months the twins had called a formal meeting with Master Dee and their greatest treasure, their slave Loralei.

Loralei was the last to attend as she had been in a small office set up in the military barracks just for her use. She was reading info cubes left for her by Baloko.

Baloko had told her he was picking an elite group. Back home on Earth this team would be called SWAT. SWAT (acronym for Special Weapons And Tactics) was something she thought was needed to clean up the inside problems of the home cave. She wondered if she could suggest the name to Baloko.

There just had to be some way to get rid of the spies and plotters and secure at least a portion of the home. Dammit, she was a trained police officer and had a lot of experience with the criminal mind. Now she had a lot of advanced technical equipment. She just needed to put it all together. After all on earth they protected the White House, the Governor’s Mansion, the Mayor's home, and even the local police stations; why couldn't they protect at least a portion of this city cave?

She was surprised when she got the notice on her vis pin that the twins had requested her attendance for lunch with them and Master Dee immediately. Shit, the location was a hearty jog and several levels away. No time to freshen up so she would just go and they would have to put up with her loose shirt and tight jeans. Thank goodness she had on her new shoes.

By the time she reached the indicated location, she was late and breathing heavily. But thanks to her workouts, she took only a moment outside the door to straighten her clothes, push her stray hairs into place and look for her security.

"Bogdan, you can't accompany me in here but the twins will protect me."

The shadow stepped out from a niche down the hall in the opposite direction. How did he get ahead of her?

He nodded. "I will wait. Maybe find a small diversion while you eat."

Loralei smiled not expecting a smile in return. She entered the room wondering what type of diversion an assassin might find. That caused a shiver to run down her back.

  * * * *

Still, it would surprise her to know that after she left the assassin watched the body of a saucy female worker moving a cart down the hall. After all, he did have a few free moments.

He first checked the door his charge had entered and it was sealed. Through the barrier he felt the power he did not want to challenge.

Now he moved without sound down to the room where the female had entered, leaving her cart in the hall. He drifted in, like the air, and shut the door behind him. He saw many things in her pretty doe-like eyes. She showed surprise, fear, but finally the thing he was waiting for, a glint of lust.

Bogdan was not the type to rape women or men. In all of his years that he had participated in sex, it was always consensual. He put his finger to his lips to hush her and she answered with a weak smiled. She would stay quiet until later when she bragged to others. Assassins liked all types of myths told about them. If women told that besides being frightening killers, they were sinful lovers, that was good.

"I must hold my hand over your mouth to hush your sounds as I turn you and bend you over this chest. But I promise fair one, I will not harm you and I will give you as much pleasure as you give me."

With this whisper, Bogdan put her in the position he described. Her full tunic was up about her waist and her trousers along with her under garment was kicked off quickly.

With his long body keeping her down and a hand at her mouth, he used his other hand to slowly explore the warm folds between her legs. She smelled clean and showed her own eagerness as one knee came up against the shelf under the cart.

He felt her moisture respond to his fingers. He was pleased that he wouldn't have to wait long so he could get back to his job, his body relaxed. He moved his hand and fingers until he felt the blood swell up her little nub then he took his moist palm to open his pants. His member dropped out to the right position.

It took only seconds to guide it where it wanted to go, deep into the warm tight grip of a female's center. He controlled himself as he heard her moan blissfully. He reached for that magic nub and helped her go up to a place that beat the heart fast in her chest and as she tried to scream from the orgasm he held his hand over her mouth tightly.

He gritted his mouth tight to keep it closed, pumped two times more and found his own release deep within the place the Gods made so perfect for male and female.

He could only allow himself a moment to recover and he lifted and pulled the female's shift down to give her some respect.

"I thank you. I must leave."

The woman took a deep breath as she pushed herself up. She spoke as she turned. "We could do this again." But she was alone in the room.

While Bogdan was finding pleasure, in her own way so was Loralei. The room chosen for lunch was not one of the stark barrack rooms; instead it was a beautiful room that had the rock polished to show the layers that formed when this world was young. As usual one end was an open view to the ocean.

There were many long thin drapes hanging from the center ceiling, but pulled back in dark braided ties against the walls to break up the colors of the stone.

The table was wood, not stone, and the chairs were soft and covered with deep cushions. Across the polished floor were deep rugs, overlapping to the point that Loralei wanted to kick off her shoes.

Her loved ones sat across the table from each other with Dee between them at the square table leaving the other seat for her. The smell of the food reminded her that she had been living on fruit and sandwiches and needed comfort food for a change to help her system.

The table had candles and wine glasses, damask napkins. Loralei began to wonder what the bad news might be with all these great preparations.

Loralei took her seat with a sharp question. "Okay, who died or when does the cave get bombed?"

Dee chuckled as two special sets of eyes looked at her with shock. Then she saw understanding begin to form on her lovers’ faces. Since there were almost never any emotions showing on the twin's faces anymore, it was interesting for her to see this expression.

In their strange way of talking for each other, the twins gave her some explanation.

"We feel the stress you both have been under." Bleak.

"We know that we have not been sharing our plans with you." Leant.

"We also need to have you both share your plans with us." Bleak.

"We think it would be good to meet alone every few days." Leant.

"We should do it like this in a casual setting." Bleak.

Loralei had done this type of thing when she was still on Earth and went to a really good tennis match. Her neck would soon hurt as her head went back and forth. "Wait. Let's start by just having one of you explain."

There was a nod from the twin to her left. "Loralei, we know that you can tell I am Bleak, but you are the only one who can tell us apart. Dee can't, so Dee…I will speak for both of us for a while to make things easier.

Let's take the most important issue that Dee has been worried about. We have had a discussion off-world with the representatives of Five One."

Loralei knew that the number stood for a planet that was being aggressive on its neighbors.

"We have told them they may continue to build arms and armies as much as they please. On the other hand, we have decided to support completely any government, plan
et, or organization that they aggressively moved against in war. They seemed to have reconsidered their position."

Dee sat forward and took a deep sip from his wine glass. "Thank you boys."

Someone passed a hot plate full of two types of meat to Loralei.

"Next Loralei, we approve your effort to tighten security within our home. We need to keep you safe when we are not here, and we know your protector is with us for only one year. We will do nothing to hinder you, but this facility is so much like a maze with so many entering and leaving. How much freedom will we have to give up?"

Loralei felt a strange type of relaxation in the room. She knew it was from the twins. It was as if they had turned down their power. Was this a danger for them? Were they open to attack? As always they were aware of her concerns.

Bleak still continued to talk for both twins. "We are safe inside this room. Believe it or not the whole planet could fall apart, and we would float in space, completely intact." One of the twins poured her some wine, but Bleak continued talking.

"What do you need, what do you think will need to be changed?"

She sighed as she looked down at the silver next to her plate. "We need to close the doors. We need to search everything before it enters. We need to body scan each being and check their background."

Now she heard the sighs from her three men.

She raised her hand. "I know that is not sensible and probably impossible. But I am looking at the designs and diagrams of the different levels. First of all there is a lot of information missing. Hallways, rooms, and different turns were added and never tracked into any permanent record."

She now needed to take a deep breath and a sip of wine. Her males waited for her to go on with her details.

"I need to get a full detail of each and every nook and cranny of this magnificent place. Once I have it, I can then start building a remodel that can close off some unneeded areas, open up straight ways and build in better security visuals. But who can we trust to come in and do surveys?"

Suddenly the twins leaned forward and began to talk together as one.

"We have your surveys. We were born in this cave and spent hours in every closet, every hidden forgotten hallway and storage area. We know what is concealed under marble floors and what is among the beams where the assassin often hides. We often still travel through the double walls. As children, we slept in rows of forgotten bunks that held weapons. We went to the surface and the sea through passages that still retain only our footprints in the dust. We only ask that we have final approval of any changes."

Loralei sat back feeling stupid. Of course, she could imagine those two little brilliant boys playing games. Something more involved than the normal hide-and-seek. Little children who were more than children, intelligent adult minds locked in small bodies with the need to know whatever they could know.

Loralei told them what and how she needed the reports and it seemed the business end of the meeting was over. Dee told of the loss of an old friend on another planet. It was decided to send a token to the grieving family.

There was an inquiry as to how her security was working out, and she had to smile. "He is a shadow that has only turned up once. There was no fuss, but I have a feeling there might have been a problem had he not been in the area. I have no idea where he sleeps or eats or bathes, yet when I do meet with him, he is clean and refuses food with me. I find I can move easier, but I sometimes wonder where he is, and if it is that easy for him to hide, then others could hide in the same places."

The meal finished with a great dessert—called mind-blowing]sex. Dee left immediately, and the twins cleared the table in a way she did not recall.

Mind-blowing sex with the twins was a true statement as the twins not only entered her body in all ways, but the three of them shared the entire experience mentally.

To feel her hands on one man's back from the way the man felt. The warmth of both males entering her deeply and how the males groaned as they felt the grip of female flesh around their members. It was so hot but so soft, gripping them like nothing else could for a male.

As was usual, the twins left her exhausted, but so pleased. It would be hard to put into words for her to tell others what her love life was like, except mind-blowing.

She smiled as she left the shower of the royal rooms and dressed in the clothes Tet had picked out for her. She hated new jeans, but she couldn't hurt the girl's feelings. She did approve of the loose long tunic. Yes, it was her type of comfort.

Tying her hair up into a ponytail as she made her way to her office down in the barracks area, she was almost jogging. The rush stopped as she made her way through the door.

She had requested for the details to come to her either on info cubes or hard copies. Her desk and office were overflowing. The floor was overflowing; in fact, there was almost no room except for a narrow aisle to move around to her seat. She had needed that seat right now before her knees gave out and she was flat on her back on the cold floor.

She moved things around on her desk until she had a cleared area about the length of her arm. She sat and thought about how to start. She knew she needed to divide this into sections that she could eventually start deciding what she wanted to see happen to each section. But how? She needed a nudge to get started.

Loralei looked up at the ceiling. "Bogdan, I need to talk to you." She sat still but instantly there was a light tap on the door.

That was quick, but what did she expect of her security. "Come."

The door responded to her voice and slide into the wall to open and allow the tall assassin to enter her office. It closed, and Bogdan immediately leaned back against the wall beside the door, his back secure. He said nothing as he waited, regardless of her words about needing to talk to him.

She cleared her voice and asked this killer for help by explaining, "In the many things that I have lived through in my life, in my training in my original world, this is the first time I am frustrated.

I believe for you to be able to live and do what you do, that you are a very structured person. I need some structure now. I need to know everything about this entire location in order to decide how to form a better protection for the family section. But I have been handed too much information, and I just don't know where to begin. I am overwhelmed."

She reached back and twisted a long strand of her ponytail. "I feel like escaping and forgetting it all."

He waved a hand, a strong but elegant movement. "Then that is the starting point. Exits."

She looked down at the blank area on her desk and knew he was right. Identify all the entrances and exits. That would tell her the outside dimensions of the entire cave. Start to follow the openings inside and that would begin the first solid plans of inside hallways, unused, seldom used, and busy byways.

She had no idea when her security left, but he had evidently ordered her a late light meal as she heard a tap on the door and when she responded a smiling serving girl entered.

The girl had a large grin as she left the cart in the hall but brought in a tray with a cup of hot soup, cut up fruit and a thermos of something to drink that was icy cold, but non-alcoholic. On a small saucer were a handful of cookies. Great choice but she wondered about the connection between the girl and her security?

Then her mind was back on the cubes and papers she was separating. This cave was like a buried ant colony with so damn many openings to the outside she was going cross-eyed finding the items to put into the correct piles. But she was getting started and getting something done for her family.

She needed a three-dimension board, but she did not remember seeing any. She also needed more room. She placed a call to Dee and surprise, surprise. He assured her everything would be set up for her tomorrow and that she should get a good night’s rest.

For the first time since she had been abducted from Earth to be a slave, she began to feel that she wasn't just a sex slave or a pretty bracelet; she was a useful item within the politics of this cente

  Chapter Nine

Baloko took a moment to catch his breath as he looked over the troops who were working out in the exercise area. This area was fantastic; the air was fresh with one whole end as a clear view of the outside ocean.

One fourth of the floor was covered with workout mats and plenty of equipment. The running board Baloko had just finished on had been reading his body and kept pushing him to a higher peak.

He needed a shower, but his mind went back to the woman under guard, in a nice suite in a restricted area. What the hell was he going to do with her?

He took time to clean up, but he dressed only in civilian, dark comfortable clothes. He was going to have one last try at convincing the female that he could give her freedom and if this conversation didn’t work? Well, he was going to give her freedom anyways.

Joo was sitting on the polished rock in the middle of a hand-crafted rug, looking out the window at the ocean. For a change it was fairly calm and from this height she could see the shadows of large sea animals as they moved under the undulating waves.

She heard a tap on the door and as usual she ignored it. No matter what she did, people came in after knocking. At first she had yelled for them to “go away” but they came in anyways.

There were people to clean, people with clothes, people with food, people to remove the food she hadn’t eaten. It seemed like there was an endless stream of people. She learned early on she could not get out of these fancy rooms.

There was a force field that recognized her and bounced her back with the same amount of force that she hit it, throwing her back onto her butt into the room. Freedom—a word full of fake meanings and fake promises.

Now with a tap on the door she just ignored it and whoever came in, let them do whatever they felt was necessary. Sometime they might take her out of these overdone rooms. That would give her a chance to escape again.

She heard someone enter, but then the person sat on one of the chairs behind her. She slowly moved her head to get a look at who was with her in this fancy jail.
